Power BI Developer - Data Visualization Tools

Description :

We are looking for an experienced Power BI + SQL Developer with a strong background in application development and data analytics. The role requires hands-on expertise in SQL development, performance tuning, and advanced Power BI reporting, with the ability to work on large and complex datasets and deliver scalable, high-performance business intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.

- Build and manage semantic data models in Power BI, including relationships, hierarchies, and calculated measures.

- Develop complex DAX measures and calculations to support advanced analytical requirements.

- Use Power Query for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and optimization.

- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources such as relational databases, flat files, and cloud-based sources.

- Write, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for reporting and analytics.

- Perform SQL performance tuning to ensure efficient query execution on large datasets.

- Collaborate with application development and business teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reports and dashboards.

- Support deployment, monitoring, and enhancement of BI solutions in production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

- Minimum 6+ years of overall experience in Technology, including application development.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL, with strong expertise in:

- Advanced query writing

- Performance tuning and optimization

- Data analysis and validation

- Working with large and complex datasets

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI.

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Power BI, including:

- Building interactive dashboards and reports

- Creating and managing data models

- Writing complex DAX measures and calculations

- Using Power Query for data transformation and optimization

- Handling and visualizing large volumes of data

- Proficiency in SQL (any major RDBMS) for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

- Experience integrating Power BI with multiple data sources.

- Understanding of data modeling concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and BI best practices.

Soft Skills :
