Power BI Developer - Dashboard Design

Job Description :

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Power BI Developer with 4+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain impactful BI solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent data modeling skills, and hands-on experience building interactive dashboards using Power BI.

This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and publish visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.

- Create data models using Power BI Desktop including calculated columns, measures, and DAX queries.

- Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, cloud databases, APIs, etc.

- Develop and manage data transformations using Power Query and Power BI Dataflows.

- Optimize dashboards and queries for performance and scalability.

- Work closely with business users to gather requirements, understand KPIs, and ensure data

accuracy and relevance.

- Monitor report usage, perform maintenance and troubleshooting, and manage Power BI service workspace and datasets.

- Document solutions, create user guides, and provide training to end-users as needed.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.

- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Power BI development.

- Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query (M language).

- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and data manipulation.

- Experience with data modeling techniques including star schema and snowflake schema.

- Familiarity with Excel, Power Pivot, and Power Automate.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse).

- Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace management in Power BI.

- Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.

- Certification in Microsoft Power BI (PL-300) or equivalent is a plus
