Power BI & ETL Developer - Observability Platform

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows ensuring data quality and integrity across multiple systems.

- Develop interactive and insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI to support business decision-making.

- Conduct thorough research and evaluation of observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry.

- Assess data lineage tools including Apache Atlas and AWS Data Zone for effective data governance.

- Define and apply evaluation criteria including integration capability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, features, compliance, and vendor support.

- Perform hands-on testing and proof of concept (PoC) implementations for shortlisted tools.

- Prepare detailed comparative reports outlining pros, cons, and recommendations for tool adoption.

- Present findings and insights to internal stakeholders to aid strategic decision-making.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of selected tools with existing infrastructure.

- Stay updated with industry trends related to observability, data lineage, BI, and ETL technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proven experience in Power BI development including dashboard design, DAX, data modeling, and report optimization.

- Strong expertise in ETL processes, tools, and best practices.

- Hands-on knowledge of observability platforms and telemetry data collection.

- Familiarity with data lineage tools and data governance concepts.

- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prepare comprehensive comparative analyses and reports.

- Experience working in both cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-premises environments.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and engage effectively with stakeholders.

- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI) and ETL tools/processes.
