Seeking a PostgreSQL DBA / Cloud Database Engineer with hands-on experience managing Google Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day administration, monitoring, security review, performance optimization, and infrastructure assessment of PostgreSQL databases currently running in GCP. The candidate should also have working knowledge of future migration possibilities from Google Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL to AWS services such as Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL or Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.

In This Role, You Will:

- Manage and support PostgreSQL databases hosted on Google Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL.

- Monitor database health, performance, availability, backups, storage usage, and recovery readiness.

- Review the current GCP database infrastructure across security, compute, storage, networking, availability, and cost.

- Assess and improve PostgreSQL performance, including queries, indexes, configuration, connection management, and resource utilization.

- Review database security controls, including IAM, database users and roles, network access, encryption, SSL/TLS, and audit logging.

- Validate backup, restore, point-in-time recovery, high availability, failover, and disaster recovery setup.

- Recommend improvements for security, performance, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.

- Document the current database environment, risks, findings, and recommended actions.

- Assess readiness for a possible future migration from GCP to AWS PostgreSQL platforms.
