Job Description :
Roles & Responsibilities :
Develop Power BI Reports/ Dashboards :
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI based on business requirements.
- Ensure visualizations are user-friendly and provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
Data Integration, Transformation & Modelling :
- Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, other cloud-based data sources) and perform necessary data transformations using Power Query Editor.
- Hands on Experience in Star and Snowflake schemas and model the data in Power BI as per best practices.
Performance Optimization :
- Optimize Power BI reports and data models for better performance, including managing data refresh and query optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues in reports.
Collaboration with Stakeholders :
- Work with business users to understand their reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure the final product aligns with business goals.
Continuous Improvement :
- Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices.
- Suggest and implement improvements to existing reports and processes based on feedback and evolving business needs.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise :
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Strong expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for both basic & advanced calculations of KPIs to implement business requirements.
- Expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various sources in Power BI.
- In-depth knowledge in Data Modelling strategies used for creating data models in Power BI.
- Knowledge of implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and implement required data permissions to end users of the reports.
- Experience in Power BI service like Publishing & sharing of reports, creation of Power BI Dashboard at Service, use of Datasets/ Dataflows, Manage accesses etc.
- Ability to analyse and optimize Power BI report performance, refresh times, and dataset efficiency.
- Strong understanding of BI methodologies, KPIs, and dashboard storytelling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of BI projects, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and post-launch support.
- Preferred Skills Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions, particularly in the Azure ecosystem.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300, PL-600, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Power Automate for automating data refreshes, workflows, and notifications within Power BI.
- Knowledge of Power BI Mobile for report accessibility across devices.
