Roles & Responsibilities :
- Design and implement enterprise-level Power BI architecture that aligns with business intelligence strategy and data governance standards.
- Lead the end-to-end BI solution lifecycle including requirements gathering, data modeling, ETL, report design, deployment, and support.
- Define and enforce Power BI architecture standards, best practices, and governance models (naming conventions, folder structures, RLS/OLS, refresh strategies, etc.
- Collaborate with business leaders, data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to design scalable reporting solutions and analytical frameworks.
- Architect robust, scalable data models and datasets optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design and oversee data integration pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, SQL Server, or other ETL platforms.
- Manage Power BI tenant administration, including workspace strategy, licensing, gateway configuration, and capacity planning.
- Guide and mentor development teams on DAX optimization, Power Query (M), and Power BI service features.
- Ensure data security and compliance, including implementation of Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and data classification.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies like Microsoft Fabric, AI integrations, and real-time analytics, and identify opportunities for adoption.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise :
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, with at least 5 years in Power BI development and architecture.
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M), and advanced visualization techniques.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise data modeling (star/snowflake schema, normalized/denormalized models).
- Proven expertise in SQL (T-SQL or PL/SQL), data warehouse design, and ETL tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (especially Azure) including Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL, ADLS, etc.
- Deep understanding of Power BI administration, including workspace governance, tenant setup, capacity management, and usage monitoring.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control (Git), and DevOps practices for BI solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with data governance, security, compliance, and metadata management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives.

Preferred Skills :
- Experience integrating Power BI with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Real-Time Streaming in Power BI.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies and cloud-based data lakes.
- Experience implementing Self-Service BI frameworks within large enterprises.
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect) or DP-500 (Azure Enterprise Data Analyst) are highly desirable.
- Leadership experience managing BI teams, solution architects, or data engineering squads.
- Knowledge of data storytelling, UX design principles, and executive dashboarding.
