PL-SQL Developer - Unix/Shell Scripting

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Optimize PL/SQL queries for performance and efficiency.

- Design and implement robust database schemas, tables, and indexing strategies.

- Perform complex data manipulation tasks such as data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

- Work with Unix Shell Scripts to automate tasks and support backend operations.

- Schedule and monitor jobs using Control-M.

- Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and maintainability.

- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and performance tuning.

- Utilize modern deployment and collaboration tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and ServiceNow for CI/CD, version control, and incident management.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience in Unix Shell Scripting.

- Proficiency in Control-M or similar job scheduling tools.

- Solid understanding of database design, data structures, and query optimization.

- Experience with tools such as :

1. GitHub (version control)

2. Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines)

3. ServiceNow (ticketing and incident management)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with performance monitoring and tuning tools for Oracle databases.

- Prior experience in a financial or enterprise environment is a plus.
