Role Summary :
We are seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in database development and support. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in PL/SQL and working knowledge of Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server databases. You will be responsible for designing efficient database solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high-performance data systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Multi-Platform Support : Work extensively with Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server with practical exposure.
- Solution Design : Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient technical database solutions.
- Optimization : Perform performance tuning and query optimization to ensure system efficiency.
- Data Management : Handle data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Production Support : Provide support for production issues, including root-cause analysis and implementation of fixes.
- Collaboration : Interact with application, business, and infrastructure teams to meet project goals.
- Documentation : Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Quality Assurance : Participate in code reviews and ensure all development adheres to best practices and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Technical Proficiency : In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database.
- Tools : Working experience with DB2 and SQL Server.
- Advanced SQL : Strong SQL skills, including complex joins and performance optimization.
- Process Knowledge : Understanding of SDLC and change management processes.
- Professionalism : Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Communication & Soft Skills :
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work as a team player.
Preferred (Good to Have) :
- Experience in the Life Insurance domain.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
