About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator with strong expertise in enterprise Linux environments, automation, infrastructure operations, and incident management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing Linux-based systems, driving automation initiatives, ensuring system security and compliance, and supporting critical production environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Linux environments, primarily RHEL 7, 8, and 9.

- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution of complex production issues.

- Design, develop, and implement infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible and other automation tools.

- Develop and maintain operational scripts using Bash, Python, and Perl to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Drive AIOps, automation, and auto-remediation initiatives to minimize incident volumes and improve system reliability.

- Manage and support virtualization platforms including VMware and Nutanix AHV.

- Execute ITSM processes through ServiceNow, including Incident, Change, Problem, and Task Management.

- Support vulnerability management and remediation activities using ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR).

- Plan and execute OS patching and vulnerability remediation using RHSA, Red Hat Satellite, and BigFix.

- Utilize GitLab and CI/CD pipelines for automation development, version control, and deployment management.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure system stability and operational excellence.

- Support hybrid cloud environments and infrastructure modernization initiatives across AWS and Microsoft Azure.

- Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge repositories.

- Participate in on-call support and critical incident management activities as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Linux System Administration.

- Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7, 8, and 9.

- Advanced command-line administration and Linux performance tuning.

- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in enterprise production environments.

- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Perl.

- Experience with VMware, Nutanix AHV, and virtualization technologies.

- Working knowledge of GitLab, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with patch management and vulnerability remediation tools including Red Hat Satellite, BigFix, and RHSA advisories.

- Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

- Understanding of enterprise hardware environments including Cisco UCS and Dell infrastructure.

ITSM & Operations :

- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for Incident, Change, Problem, and Task Management.

- Experience working with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) processes.

- Exposure to AIOps platforms and automated remediation frameworks.

Soft Skills :

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or managed services environments.

- Exposure to cloud-native operations and hybrid infrastructure management.

- Relevant certifications in Red Hat, Linux Administration, AWS, Azure, or ITIL are an advantage.

Education :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Any Graduate with relevant technical experience may also be considered.
