Job Title : PHP Lead

Location : Remote

Experience : 8+ years

Duration : 6 months contract + extendable

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of PHP-based web applications.

- Work with frameworks such as Laravel, Yii, and CodeIgniter to build robust solutions.

- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and adhere to MVC architecture.

- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and frameworks like PugJS or VueJS.

- Design and manage relational databases using SQL, with bonus points for MariaDB experience.

- Utilize version control systems like Git and collaborate via code repositories.

- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker.

- Ensure the application is optimized for speed and scalability.

- Actively participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing with the team.

- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver solutions.

- Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong command of PHP and object-oriented programming concepts.

- Hands-on experience with at least one major PHP framework (Laravel/Yii/CodeIgniter).

- Solid understanding of web development principles, MVC, and RESTful services.

- Front-end skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern JS frameworks.

- Experience with PugJS, VueJS, or similar front-end frameworks.

- Proficient in SQL with a strong understanding of relational database design.

- Familiarity with MariaDB is a plus.

- Proficient in Git and version control workflows.

- Experience with Docker and deploying applications in production environments.

- Excellent communication skills with experience in client interaction.

- Ability to work independently and lead project modules or small teams.
