Overview :

We are seeking a talented and experienced PHP Developer to join our dynamic software development team. This role is essential for designing, developing, and maintaining the back-end logic of our high-traffic web applications. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Core PHP, experience with popular frameworks, and a commitment to writing clean, scalable code.

Key Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :

Development & Maintenance :

- Develop, test, and maintain robust web applications using PHP, including both Core PHP and relevant PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).

- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain existing codebases for optimal performance, security, and stability.

Database Management :

- Work extensively with relational databases (MySQL/SQL) to design database schemas, write efficient queries, and optimize existing queries for scale and speed.

Collaboration & Integration :

- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to seamlessly integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.

Code Quality & Best Practices :

- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code following established coding standards, security guidelines, and architectural best practices.

- Actively participate in code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing across the team.

Software Development Lifecycle :

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in the PHP ecosystem, web development, and database technology.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Programming : Strong demonstrable experience with PHP (Core and Frameworks).

- Database : Expertise in MySQL/SQL and database design/optimization.

- Web Technologies : Solid understanding of related web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX).

- Frameworks : Proven experience with at least one major PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, Yii).

- Version Control : Proficiency with Git or other modern version control systems.

- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.

- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.

- Knowledge of RESTful API design and consumption.

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
