PHP Developer - Laravel Framework

Role Description :

As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our web applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deliver high-performance, reliable software solutions. Your expertise will be vital in creating and enhancing the backend systems that support our digital products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Backend Development : Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.

- Database Management : Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and queries using MySQL. Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability.

- API Development : Develop and maintain efficient and secure RESTful APIs for seamless communication between the frontend and backend systems, and with third-party services.

- Code Quality & Best Practices : Write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code following best practices in PHP and Laravel development. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.

- Problem Solving : Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues and bugs, ensuring the stability and performance of applications.

- Collaboration : Work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.

- Deployment & Operations (Basic) : Contribute to understanding and potentially assisting with basic deployment processes and environment configurations.

Qualifications :

Required Skills and Experience :

- Experience : Approximately 4 years of hands-on experience in PHP development.

- PHP & Laravel Expertise : Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with PHP and the Laravel 9 framework (or recent versions like Laravel 8/10).

- Database Knowledge : Good knowledge of MySQL, including database design, querying, and optimization.

- Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions independently.

- Best Practices : Solid understanding and application of best practices in PHP development, including design patterns, coding standards, and security considerations.

- Collaboration : Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Good to Have (Bonus Skills) :

- Architectural Patterns : Knowledge of the Porto Architecture pattern with the Apiato Framework on top of Laravel.

- Cloud Services : Basic knowledge of AWS services like S3 (Simple Storage Service), EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud), etc.

- Containerization & Databases : Basic knowledge of Docker, MongoDB, and Redis.

- Version Control : Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
