PHP Developer - Laravel

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer with expertise in the Laravel framework to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems, designing APIs, and collaborating with frontend developers to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using PHP and Laravel framework.

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable RESTful APIs to power frontend applications and third-party integrations.

- Collaborate with frontend developers experienced in React JS (or similar frameworks) to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

- Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following best practices.

- Work closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Manage and optimize database schemas and queries for both SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.

- Utilize version control systems (preferably Git) for source code management and collaborate on code reviews.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and bugs promptly.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to continuously improve the development process and product quality.

- Participate actively in Agile development processes and sprint planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong proficiency in PHP and hands-on experience with the Laravel framework.

- Solid experience designing and developing RESTful APIs adhering to best practices.

- Proficient in JavaScript with experience working on frontend frameworks such as React JS or equivalent.

- Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB or others).

- Experience working with version control systems, preferably Git.

- Good grasp of security principles, data protection, and web application vulnerabilities.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Passionate about learning new technologies and improving code quality.
