About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our development team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building dynamic, data-driven web applications and RESTful APIs using PHP frameworks.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend systems while ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a passion for clean, maintainable code, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs using PHP and modern frameworks (such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony).

- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards.

- Implement server-side logic, data processing, and integrations with third-party APIs.

- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

- Maintain and enhance existing applications by troubleshooting and improving performance.

Database Management :

- Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL databases.

- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for application functionality.

- Ensure data integrity, performance optimization, and efficient query execution.

API & Integration :

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.

- Work with JSON/XML data formats and handle API authentication and authorization.

- Integrate applications with payment gateways, cloud services, and other third-party tools.

Testing & Deployment :

- Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure high-quality software.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

- Use version control (Git) for source code management and collaboration.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Work closely with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.

- Document technical designs, processes, and code changes for internal reference.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience :

- 2 to 6 years of experience as a PHP Developer or Backend Engineer.

- Proven experience with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, or Yii).

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in PHP 7+ / 8+ with solid understanding of OOP principles.

- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js plus point).

- Solid knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL, database design, and query optimization.

- Experience in RESTful API development and JSON-based communication.

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Working knowledge of Linux environments, Apache/Nginx configuration, and Composer for dependency management.

- Experience with Docker or other containerization tools (optional but preferred).

- Understanding of MVC architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices
