We are looking for a PHP Backend Developer with 4-6 years of hands-on experience to join our technology team and work on our in-house cross-border commerce platform.


The platform supports complex cross-border commerce operations involving large-scale catalog management, factory-level order tracking, inventory synchronization, fulfillment reporting, vendor performance monitoring, and sales workflows.


The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Core PHP / Native PHP, MySQL, REST APIs, backend logic, reporting modules, and data-heavy business applications. The candidate should be comfortable working on existing systems, debugging production issues, building new modules, and improving system performance.


Roles & Responsibilities :


- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Core PHP / Native PHP.


- Work on catalog, inventory, OMS, fulfillment, packing list, vendor performance, sales, and master data modules.


- Build admin panels, dashboards, filters, reports, and backend data management tools.


- Write efficient MySQL queries, joins, aggregations, and reports for large datasets.


- Optimize slow queries, backend scripts, and report generation logic.


- Build and consume REST APIs for inventory sync, order updates, and system integrations.


- Handle CSV / Excel uploads, validations, imports, exports, and row-wise error reporting.


- Maintain API logs, inventory push logs, failed records, and retry flows.


- Debug and resolve issues in existing PHP/MySQL applications.


- Work with operational datasets involving factories, styles, SKUs, orders, packing lists, inventory, and sales data.


- Implement proper data validation, error handling, duplicate prevention, logging, and audit trails.


- Support senior developers in system enhancement, code review, and architecture improvements.


- Collaborate with business, operations, cross-border, and product teams.


- Follow clean coding practices and maintain proper documentation for key logic.


Technical Skills Required :


- Strong hands-on experience in Core PHP / Native PHP.


- Strong knowledge of MySQL, including joins, indexing, query optimization, grouping, aggregations, and reporting queries.


- Experience in REST API development and integration.


- Good understanding of JSON handling, API authentication, error handling, API logs, and retry mechanisms.


- Experience with CSV / Excel import and export.


- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and Bootstrap.


- Experience building admin panels, dashboards, and backend business modules.


- Ability to debug existing code and production issues.


- Understanding of database transactions, data validation, duplicate prevention, and audit logs.


- Basic knowledge of cron jobs, scheduled scripts, and backend processes.


- Familiarity with Git or any version control system.


Good to Have :


- Experience in ERP, OMS, inventory management, logistics, e-commerce, marketplace, or supply chain systems.


- Experience with large datasets and performance-heavy reports.


- Understanding of inventory sync, order fulfillment, vendor dashboards, or catalog systems.


- Experience with role-based access control.


- Basic Linux/server knowledge.


- Experience with background jobs, queues, or batch processing.


- Understanding of API security and idempotency.


- Ability to understand business workflows and convert them into practical backend modules.


Qualification & Experience :


- 4-6 years of hands-on PHP backend development experience.


- Strong practical experience in MySQL.


- Experience working on APIs, admin panels, dashboards, reports, or data-heavy business applications.


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.


- Prior experience in ERP / OMS / Inventory / E-commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain systems will be preferred.


Ideal Candidate Profile :


The ideal candidate should be someone who has worked beyond simple websites and has experience building or maintaining business-critical backend systems. The candidate should be able to understand existing code, write clean PHP/MySQL logic, debug issues independently, work with reports and dashboards, handle CSV/API-based data flows, and gradually take ownership of modules under guidance.
