What are we looking for ?

We are seeking a Lead with strong proficiency in Node.js, AWS cloud services, and hands-on experience with Amazon Event Bridge to join our engineering team who will architect, design, and build scalable and reliable backend services that power our core platform. The ideal candidate is someone who understands event-driven architecture and thrives in a cloud-native, microservices environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js.

- Architect and implement event-driven microservices using Amazon Event Bridge, SNS, SQS, and other AWS services.

- Develop scalable APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.

- Optimize and monitor backend applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

- Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to team technical growth.

- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery through resilient design and robust observability.

- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10+ years of professional backend development experience.

- Strong proficiency in Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including but not limited to :

1. Event Bridge

2. Lambda

3. API Gateway

4. DynamoDB

5. S3, SNS, SQS, EMS, ECS

6. CloudWatch

7. MongoDB

- Deep understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous communication patterns.

- Experience RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architecture.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure code (e.g., CloudFormation).

- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.

- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Must demonstrate initiative and be capable of working independently.
