About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Perl Developer & Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Perl, along with hands-on experience in database management and DevOps tools.

This role involves technical leadership, mentoring junior developers, and driving end-to-end project execution in a remote setup.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient Perl-based applications.

- Lead the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and improvements.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best coding practices.

- Integrate and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability.

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance in Linux environments.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers within the team.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and deployment protocols.

- Participate in regular code reviews and agile development processes.

Primary Skills :

- Strong programming experience in Perl.

- Proficiency with PostgreSQL (database design, optimization, and scripting).

- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub and Jenkins for version control and CI/CD.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Knowledge of C Programming for performance-critical modules.

- Experience working with Oracle databases.

- Good understanding of Linux OS for deployment and debugging.

- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for cloud-based deployment and services.

- Familiarity with IDEs like Eclipse or Visual Studio Code.
