Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer Backend who is passionate about scalable backend architectures and modern development methodologies.

This role requires a strong grasp of backend technologies, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You will take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining backend components that drive performance, reliability, and user impact across our platform.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Design :

- Design scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems using modern Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, and implement robust microservices that align with industry best practices.

Implementation & Development :

- Write clean, modular, high-performance code.

- Ensure code quality through unit tests, integration tests, and automation tools.

- Participate in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Feature Ownership :

- Take full ownership of backend featuresfrom technical design to release and performance monitoring.

- Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the lifecycle.

Collaboration & Mentorship :

- Engage in cross-functional teams to convert business needs into technical solutions.

- Mentor junior developers and participate in design reviews, code walkthroughs, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Performance Optimization :

- Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Identify bottlenecks and resolve issues across data access, backend processing, and integration layers.

Documentation :

- Maintain technical documentation for services, APIs, and internal tools.

- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and understandable for all stakeholders.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

- 5+ years of backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design.

- Proficient in relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and experience with NoSQL technologies is a plus.

- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

- Excellent debugging, performance profiling, and problem-solving skills.

- Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git and collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc
