Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Payment Architect / Functional SME (Payments) to join our team on a C2H contract, with a strong possibility of conversion to a permanent role.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Payments architecture, hands-on experience with FIS platforms, and strong functional knowledge of SEPA Instant Payments and OPF.

Key Responsibilities :

- Act as the Payments Architect / Functional SME, providing end-to-end functional and technical leadership across payment streams.

- Design, enhance, and optimize payment flows, rules, and integration patterns across FIS systems.

- Lead solution architecture for FIS PaaS, OPF, and SEPA INST implementations.

- Work closely with business, technology, and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable payment solutions.

- Support integration with APIs, payment gateways, downstream and upstream systems.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and payment scheme rules (SEPA INST, ISO 20022, etc.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payment processing, data flows, and system interoperability.

- Contribute to design documentation, architectural diagrams, and technical specifications.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in Payments domain.

- Strong expertise in FIS, FIS PaaS, OPF, and SEPA Instant Payments.

- Solid understanding of ISO 20022, real-time payments, clearing, and settlement processes.

- Experience designing and implementing payment architectures and integration frameworks.

- Hands-on exposure to APIs, integration (REST, SOAP), microservices, MQ, Kafka, or similar middleware.

- Strong functional knowledge of end-to-end payment flows (initiation - processing - routing - settlement).

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience working with global banks or large-scale payment modernization programs.

- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for European payment schemes.

- Exposure to cloud-based payment platforms.
