OZI - Backend Developer - Warehouse Management System

Role Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and execution-focused Backend Developer (SDE 2 / SDE 3) with 3+ years of experience to build and scale high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will work on warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics-heavy platforms, supporting inventory, order management, fulfillment, and supply-chain workflows in a fast-paced startup environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 3+ years of backend development experience at SDE 2 / SDE 3 level.

- Proven experience working on warehouse management systems (WMS) or logistics/supply-chain platforms.

- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Node.js (one or more).

- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.

- Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

- Solid understanding of inventory management, order lifecycle, and fulfillment workflows.

- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance-optimization skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for warehouse, logistics, and fulfillment systems.

- Build robust APIs to manage inventory tracking, order processing, pick-pack-ship workflows, and returns.

- Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

- Ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability for high-volume, real-time transactions.

- Integrate backend systems with marketplaces, ERPs, and third-party logistics partners.

- Write clean, optimized, and maintainable code with proper documentation and testing practices.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and participate in code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, logistics, or supply-chain technology platforms.

- Prior experience working in high-growth startup environments.

- Familiarity with event-driven systems, message queues, or distributed systems is a plus.
