Role Overview :

As an Oracle Exadata Admin at Sysmind Tech PVT LTD, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of our critical Exadata database systems. You will collaborate closely with database developers, system administrators, and application teams to ensure the availability, security, and optimal performance of our Exadata infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our clients' business operations and enabling them to make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and maintain Oracle Exadata database systems, including Exadata X8-M platforms, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

- Perform Exadata patching and upgrades, adhering to best practices and minimizing downtime for critical business applications.

- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve database efficiency for internal and external stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine tasks, improve operational efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.

- Manage memory allocation and optimize memory usage to ensure efficient database operations and prevent performance degradation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, providing timely and effective support to application teams and end-users.

- Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations for all database environments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements and align with IT strategy.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in Oracle Exadata administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

- Proven ability to perform Exadata patching and upgrades with minimal downtime.

- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.

- In-depth knowledge of memory management and performance tuning techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
