About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) to manage and support mission-critical Oracle database environments for a leading banking organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Oracle Database 19c, Oracle RAC, RMAN Backup & Recovery, Oracle GoldenGate (OGG), and high-availability database architectures. This role requires strong production support experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database 19c environments.
- Design, deploy, and manage Oracle RAC architecture, installation, configuration, and patching.
- Administer and support 2-node and 3-node Oracle RAC clusters.
- Perform database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery using RMAN.
- Execute database patching, upgrades, migration activities, and DR drills.
- Manage and monitor Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) replication environments.
- Ensure database availability, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Implement and maintain database security standards in compliance with banking regulations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely incident resolution.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support business-critical applications.
- Participate in a 24x7 rotational support model for production environments.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Oracle Database 19c Administration.
- Hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC Architecture & Administration.
- Experience managing 2-node and 3-node RAC clusters.
- Strong knowledge of RMAN Backup & Recovery.
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
- Database installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution.
- Performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Database security and compliance.
- Linux/Unix administration knowledge.
- Shell scripting is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Oracle Database Administration certifications are preferred.
- Experience supporting banking or financial services environments will be an added advantage.
