- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard (physical and logical standby), ASM, and Oracle GoldenGate.

- Deep expertise administering Oracle Database, with good-to-have experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB as secondary platforms.

- Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL query optimization and performance tuning for large, complex workloads.

- Proficiency with Oracle performance diagnostics: AWR, ASH, ADDM, Statspack, SQL Trace, and Enterprise Manager (OEM/Cloud Control).

- Proven expertise in RMAN backup and recovery, Flashback technologies, and point-in-time recovery.

- Experience provisioning and supporting Oracle databases in cloud environments, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure, and AWS (including RDS for Oracle).

- Proven experience leading Oracle data migration and modernization projects while ensuring data integrity.

- Solid understanding of Oracle database design best practices, partitioning strategies, and data modeling.

Automation, Tooling & Operations :

- Proficiency in scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or shell scripting for Oracle operations.

- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Oracle issues using database and OS-level diagnostic tools (strace, top, iostat, vmstat).

- Experience with Oracle installation, clustering, upgrades, patching, replication, monitoring, and security hardening.

- Strong expertise in backup, recovery, and high-availability architectures across primary and DR sites.

- Experience working with Git-based workflows, code versioning, branching strategies, and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

- Experience ensuring Oracle databases comply with industry standards, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements (SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).

Collaboration & Communication :

- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, application, and operations teams.

- Ability to translate complex Oracle performance findings into clear recommendations for non-DBA stakeholders.

Leadership and Strategic Contributions :

- Mentor and support other DBAs and engineering teams on Oracle best practices.

- Contribute to strategic planning and technology decisions related to Oracle platforms and infrastructure.

- Drive Oracle licensing optimization and cloud-migration strategy discussions.
