Job Title : Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle database development, writing efficient PL/SQL code, query optimization, and performance tuning. You will work closely with application developers and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

- Write complex SQL queries and optimize them for performance.

- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues.

- Perform query tuning and database performance optimization.

- Develop and maintain stored procedures and database objects.

- Collaborate with application development teams to support database integration.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

- Support database deployments, migrations, and production releases.

- Create technical documentation for database objects and processes.

Required Skills :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL Development.

- Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming.

- Experience with packages, procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, collections, and exception handling.

- Strong knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning.

- Experience with Oracle database design and data modeling concepts.

- Familiarity with indexing, execution plans, and database performance analysis.

- Experience with version control tools such as Git is preferred.

- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Oracle Forms/Reports or Oracle APEX is a plus.

- Exposure to Unix/Linux shell scripting.

- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

- Experience working in enterprise-scale database environments.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Oracle Certification is an added advantage.
