Role : OS Administrator.

Mandatory Skills :

Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server operating systems.

- Perform system updates, patches, and security hardening.

- Troubleshoot and resolve operating system related issues.

- Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies.

- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments.

- Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines.

- Perform virtual machine migrations and resource allocation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization related issues.

- Manage and maintain Azure Virtual Machines and related services.

- Deploy and configure Azure resources using Azure Portal and CLI.

- Implement and manage Azure security best practices.

- Monitor and optimize Azure resource utilization and costs.

- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures based on CIS benchmarks.

- Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Implement and manage access controls and user permissions.

- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

- Develop and maintain scripts for automating system administration tasks.

- Utilize configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet) to automate system configuration.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.

- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

- Prepare regular reports on system performance, security, and availability.

- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets.

- Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and other IT professionals.

- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.

- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills and Expertise :

- Strong experience with Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server operating systems.

- Expertise in system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

- Proficiency in VMware vSphere management.

- Experience with virtual machine deployment, configuration, and management.

- Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines.

- Knowledge of Azure networking and security best practices.

- Strong understanding of CIS benchmarks and security hardening techniques.

- Experience with security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell).

- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience as an OS Administrator.

- Relevant certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, VCP, Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
