Role Overview:

As an Openshift Architect/SME/Lead, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust containerization platforms built on OpenShift and Kubernetes. Your day-to-day will involve leading technical discussions, translating complex business requirements into scalable architectural solutions, and providing expert guidance to development and operations teams. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including product owners, infrastructure teams, and client representatives, ensuring the seamless delivery and operational excellence of critical applications. This role directly impacts the agility, reliability, and efficiency of our clients' digital infrastructure, enabling faster time-to-market and enhanced system performance for end-users and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and design enterprise-grade OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms, providing strategic direction to engineering teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

- Lead the implementation and migration of complex applications onto containerized environments, guiding development teams through best practices for cloud-native deployments and CI/CD pipelines.

- Serve as the subject matter expert for OpenShift and Kubernetes, offering advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning for critical production systems to maintain high availability and optimal resource utilization.

- Develop and enforce platform governance, security policies, and operational procedures, ensuring compliance and robust security posture for all containerized workloads.

- Mentor and upskill junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team to enhance overall capability and delivery quality.

- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, present technical solutions, and manage expectations, ensuring successful project outcomes and strong client relationships.

- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and tools within the cloud-native ecosystem, recommending strategic adoptions to enhance platform capabilities and efficiency for future business needs.

Required Skillset:

- Proven expertise in architecting, deploying, and managing large-scale OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters, demonstrating a deep understanding of their core components and operational nuances.

- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration, including networking, storage, and security configurations, essential for robust platform foundations.

- Advanced ability to develop and manage configurations using YAML, particularly for Kubernetes manifests, OpenShift templates, and Helm charts, ensuring declarative and repeatable deployments.

- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges in high-pressure environments.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering collaboration and consensus.

- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to lead technical teams, mentor peers, and drive strategic initiatives effectively.

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is highly preferred, coupled with continuous professional development in cloud-native technologies.

- Adaptability to work across various engagement models, including remote, hybrid, or on-site, depending on project and client requirements across multiple locations in India.
