Role Overview :

As a Data Solutions Engineer I, you will work on the foundation of OpenGovs data integration and migration initiatives.

You will support customer implementations by developing, testing, and deploying data integration scripts and ETL workflows, ensuring smooth and efficient transfer of critical information from legacy systems to OpenGovs cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain Python and SQL scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) customer data from varied source systems.

- Work closely with senior engineers and project leads to execute migration and integration tasks as per client requirements.

- Assist in analyzing customer datasets and designing database schemas that align with OpenGovs data models.

- Participate in customer onboarding calls to gather technical requirements and clarify data specifications.

- Perform data validation, quality checks, and error resolution during migration processes.

- Collaborate with the QA and delivery teams to ensure high-quality data deployment in production environments.

- Document data workflows, mappings, and transformation logic for project tracking and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 3+ years of experience in data integration, scripting, or database management.

- Proficiency in Python scripting and advanced SQL (joins, stored procedures, data transformations).

- Working knowledge of ETL concepts, data validation, and schema design.

- Exposure to APIs or SaaS-based integrations preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
