Network Engineer - Switching & Routing:

Location : Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai (Hybrid).

Primary Skills : Switching & Routing.

Secondary Skills : Palo Alto Firewall, SD-WAN, Cisco WLC.

Tools : SolarWinds, ServiceNow, Cisco Packet Tracer.

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco Switching and Routing, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and network troubleshooting.

The candidate should have working knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall, SD-WAN, and Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC).

Key Responsibilities :

Switching & Routing :

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 switches across enterprise, campus, manufacturing, and data center networks.

- Work with Cisco Catalyst 9300/6500/4500 and Nexus 7000/5000 switches.

- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MST, EtherChannel/LACP, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ACLs, NAT, and DHCP.

- Perform switch upgrades, standardization, and lifecycle management.

WAN & SD-WAN :

- Configure and troubleshoot WAN/SD-WAN connectivity, routing policies, overlays, traffic steering, and failover.

- Coordinate with ISP providers for circuit provisioning, performance monitoring, and SLA management.

- Troubleshoot latency, packet loss, and routing issues.

Palo Alto Firewall & Security :

- Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.

- Manage security policies, firewall rules, NAT, VPNs, and network segmentation.

- Perform firewall upgrades, rule cleanup, and security-related changes in accordance with approved change requests.

Wireless Networking - WLAN :

- Configure and support Cisco WLC, SSIDs, guest access, and wireless authentication policies.

- Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, roaming, RF interference, and client performance issues.

- Support wireless site surveys, capacity planning, and RF optimization.

Monitoring & Incident Management :

- Monitor network performance and availability using SolarWinds and related tools.

- Manage incidents, service requests, and changes through ServiceNow.

- Perform root cause analysis and maintain network documentation.

Required Skills :

- Strong expertise in Cisco Switching and Routing.

- Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches.

- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing protocols, and network troubleshooting.

- Working experience with Palo Alto Firewall, SD-WAN, and Cisco WLC.

- Familiarity with SolarWinds, ServiceNow, and Cisco Packet Tracer.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Certification : CCNA/CCNP or relevant Palo Alto certification.
