NVISH - AWS/Linux Support Engineer

Mandatory Skills :

Experience : 6 to 8 Years

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Must be hands-on with AWS services such as EC2, Backup, Lambda, CloudWatch, Config, CloudTrail, IAM, KMS, CloudFormation, etc.

- Understanding of supporting SAP systems on AWS, including cluster management, databases (HANA, Oracle), HA management, etc.

- Implement security policies and controls (e.g. CIS, malware, anti-virus, secret management) using AWS services.

- Must have knowledge of automating AWS service deployment using CloudFormation / Terraform.

- Strong ability to document standards and methods and produce drawings of systems and applications.

- Strong scripting skills with scripting languages such as Python (Lambda) and Bash Shell.

- Strong skills in AWS CLI and solid understanding of JSON / YAML.

- Deploying and using configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, etc.

- Administration of Linux / Windows servers.

- Should have experience in Patch Management, Volume Management, Linux firewall, Route tables, Kernel management, Troubleshooting OS issues, etc.

- Good knowledge of transport layer security (SSL, TLS, etc.).

Good to Have Skills :

- Good knowledge of web servers such as Apache, NGINX, IIS, etc.

- Basic knowledge of CI/CD - GitHub / GitLab / Git CLI.

- Serving as the elevated L2/L3 escalation contact for critical production issues.

- Adhering to change management protocols while executing service requests.

- Actively pursuing avenues to optimize standard operating procedures by leveraging automation techniques.

- Implement automation solutions to streamline platform operations, enhancing efficiency and reliability.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate our cloud services for SAP Applications / Web Application, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.

- Work closely with a diverse, multinational team to ensure the delivery of world-class cloud services tailored to our global enterprise clientele.

- Participate in designing and implementing strategies to optimize the customer experience and meet service level agreements (SLAs).

- Proficiency in networking encompassing TCP/IP, IP routing, NAT, and firewalls.

- Demonstrated expertise in managing network services such as DNS, LDAP, and HTTP proxies.

- Strong comprehension of IT security practices, particularly in OS hardening techniques.

- Any RHEL / Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification is must.
