Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Administrator to manage, administer, and optimize enterprise Nutanix infrastructure across production, UAT, and development environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, Prism Element, cluster administration, virtualization, storage, networking, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

The role requires ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and operational excellence of the Nutanix ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer Nutanix clusters in enterprise environments.

- Manage Nutanix Prism Central and Prism Element for centralized monitoring and administration.

- Perform cluster expansion, node addition/removal, and hardware lifecycle management.

- Configure and manage Nutanix AHV virtualization platform.

- Create, manage, and optimize virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and cloning operations.

- Monitor cluster health, storage utilization, CPU, memory, and network performance.

- Configure storage containers, storage pools, replication, and data protection policies.

- Implement disaster recovery using Nutanix Protection Domains and Remote Site Replication.

- Perform software upgrades, firmware upgrades, and Life Cycle Manager (LCM) activities.

- Configure networking, VLANs, virtual switches, and network segmentation within Nutanix.

- Troubleshoot infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and network-related issues.

- Manage role-based access control (RBAC), authentication, and security policies.

- Integrate Nutanix with Active Directory, LDAP, and enterprise identity services.

- Perform backup and recovery operations using Nutanix Data Protection and third-party backup solutions.

- Monitor system alerts, logs, and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.

- Optimize cluster performance through capacity planning and resource balancing.

- Implement security hardening and compliance best practices.

- Configure and manage Nutanix Files, Volumes, and Objects where applicable.

- Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, or Ansible.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, database, application, and cloud teams during deployments and migrations.

- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

- Provide L2/L3 production support and participate in on-call support rotations when required.
