Job Description

Role Overview :


As a GKE Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing robust containerized environments on Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with cross-functional development and DevOps teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of mission-critical applications. Your daily contributions will directly impact the reliability of our clients' production systems, ensuring seamless deployments and optimized resource utilization across complex Kubernetes clusters.


Key Responsibilities :


- Architect and maintain scalable GKE clusters to support high-traffic production workloads and ensure optimal uptime.

- Implement automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline code delivery and reduce manual intervention in the release process.



- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure environment consistency and rapid provisioning across GCP regions.



- Execute complex deployment strategies including Canary and Blue-Green releases to minimize risk during application updates.



- Configure and manage Ingress controllers and service meshes to handle traffic routing and secure communication between microservices.



- Utilize ArgoCD for continuous delivery and GitOps workflows to maintain desired state configurations across multiple clusters.



- Optimize Helm charts to standardize application packaging and simplify the deployment of complex microservices architectures.


Required Skillset :


- Demonstrated expertise in managing GKE clusters within large-scale GCP environments, with a strong grasp of Kubernetes networking and security policies.

- Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrating tools like ArgoCD and Helm to automate deployment lifecycles.



- Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Terraform, with a focus on building modular and reusable code.



- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex container orchestration issues and optimize cluster performance under load.



- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and provide technical guidance to junior team members.



- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment based in Gurgaon, maintaining high standards of documentation and technical rigor.



- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, supported by 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering.
