Nuage/SDN Engineer - Routing & Switching

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Nuage/SDN Professional Engineer to design, deploy, and manage advanced Software Defined Networking (SDN) and cloud infrastructure solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Nokia products, strong Linux and networking skills, and a deep understanding of SDN/NFV technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Deploy, configure, and manage Nokia CBIS, NCS, and CBAM solutions.

- Perform system administration for Linux/Unix environments and manage datacenter or carrier network configurations.

- Design, implement, and troubleshoot networking architectures including routing and switching for large-scale environments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SDN/NFV solutions into enterprise or cloud environments.

- Ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability.

- Maintain documentation and provide technical support for network infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience :

Mandatory (Must-have) :

- 4+ years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration and networking.

- Proficiency in configuring or designing networking equipment for datacenters or carrier-grade networks.

- Networking skills equivalent to Nokia NRS-I or CCNP, with solid BGP/MPLS knowledge.

Highly Preferred (A huge plus) :

- Hands-on experience with virtualization in Linux (qemu-KVM, Linux bridges, Open vSwitch).

- Strong understanding of SDN and NFV concepts and technologies.

Preferred (A plus) :

- Experience deploying firewalls, load balancers, and storage systems (NAS/SAN/virtualization).

- Working knowledge of Java and Python/Perl scripting.

- Prior experience at a Cloud Service Provider.

Technologies & Products Exposure :

- Networking : IP Routers, Nokia 7x50 XRS/SR/ESS product line.

- Virtualization : VMware ESXi, KVM, Xen, Hyper-V.

- Cloud Platforms : VMware vCloud/vCenter, OpenStack, CloudStack.

- Programming/Scripting : Java, Python, Perl.

- Operating Systems : RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu.

Certifications (Good to Have) :

- Nokia, Cisco, or Juniper certifications.

- Linux/RedHat certifications.

- Deep understanding of IP/MPLS technologies.
