What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities) :

1. Architecture & Core Backend Engineering :

- Scalable Systems : Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, distributed backend architectures capable of handling massive real-time traffic.

- Real-Time Communication : Own and optimize media streaming and VoIP protocols to ensure crystal-clear, low-latency audio, video, and data transmission.

- Microservices Development : Architect and deploy robust, fault-tolerant microservices using Java, Python, or Node.js.

- Stream Processing : Implement and manage high-throughput event streaming and messaging queues using Apache Kafka.

2. Technical Leadership & Execution :

- Technical Roadmap : Lead design discussions, perform code reviews, and establish engineering best practices for code quality, security, and performance.

- Performance Tuning : Troubleshoot and resolve complex system bottlenecks, optimizing infrastructure for maximum efficiency and minimal latency.

- Cloud & Infrastructure : Leverage cloud platforms to deploy, scale, and monitor distributed components securely.

Qualifications & Requirements :

- Experience : 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a heavy focus on backend systems and real-time communication.

- Domain Expertise : Core, hands-on experience working with Media Frameworks and protocols such as WebRTC, SIP, RTP, or VoIP.

- Language Proficiency : Deep expertise in at least one backend language : Java, Python, or Node.js.

- Distributed Systems : Proven track record of building and scaling microservices and handling data streaming via Kafka.

- Performance Mindset : Strong understanding of network protocols, concurrency, and building high-availability, low-latency systems.

- Problem Solving : Excellent analytical skills to debug real-time media streaming issues (e.g., packet loss, jitter, latency).

Preferred Background :

- Prior experience building or contributing heavily to voice/video conferencing platforms, enterprise messaging apps, live streaming services, or telecom software
