We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to contribute to a high-velocity integration initiative.

The role includes integrating existing APIs into custom MCP servers, building lightweight backend services, and developing mock API behaviors with real business logic to support rapid prototyping. This position requires strong technical ownership, the ability to work independently, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.

- Integrate existing APIs into custom MCP server environments.

- Develop mock API behavior that reflects real business logic for rapid prototypes.

- Build lightweight backend services and modular server orchestration layers.

- Write clean, maintainable, strongly typed TypeScript and Node.js code.

- Collaborate closely with Handshakes engineering team for requirement clarification and alignment.

- Translate evolving requirements into well-structured engineering tasks.

- Own end-to-end technical decision-making throughout the integration lifecycle.

- 5-7 years of backend or full-stack engineering experience.

- Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern backend development patterns.

- Strong hands-on experience with API integrations, REST-based architectures, and mock API development.

- Prior experience with MCP server development or integration (highly preferred).

- Strong understanding of backend architecture, system design, and rapid prototyping.

- Ability to work independently and deliver results quickly with minimal supervision.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to create clear technical documentation
