Node.js Developer - Strapi

Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled Node.js Developer Strapi Specialist who will take complete ownership of our Strapi-based CMS and backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Strapi v4, backend development using Node.js and TypeScript, and experience building scalable, secure, and configurable admin portals for enterprise-grade applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining content models, backend APIs, CMS configurations, and integrations, while ensuring performance, security, and scalability across microservices-based architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend & CMS Ownership :

- Own and manage Strapi-based remote configurations, CMS logic, and admin portal functionality end-to-end

- Design, develop, and maintain content types, components, and dynamic zones in Strapi v4

- Implement custom controllers, routes, services, and lifecycle hooks

- Customize and extend Strapi plugins based on business requirements

API & Integration Development :

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Strapi

- Integrate Strapi with PostgreSQL for optimized data storage and querying

- Extend CMS schemas to support evolving product and configuration needs

- Work closely with frontend, mobile, and platform teams for seamless integrations

Security & Access Control :

- Implement and manage RBAC (Roles, Permissions, and Access Control)

- Handle enterprise-level authentication and authorization flows

- Work with SSO, token-based authentication, and secure API patterns

- Ensure compliance with security best practices for CMS and backend systems

Cloud & Infrastructure Collaboration :

- Integrate Strapi with AWS services such as :

• S3 for asset and file storage
• CloudFront for CDN and performance optimization
• Lambda triggers for event-driven workflows
• Configure and optimize asset/file upload pipelines

Architecture & Best Practices :

- Design backend services aligned with microservices architecture

- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using Node.js and TypeScript

- Participate in architectural discussions and performance optimization initiatives

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of backend systems

Required Skill Set :

Mandatory Skills :

- 5+ years of backend development experience

- 46+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript

- Strong hands-on expertise in Strapi v4

- In-depth knowledge of :

• Content types, components, and dynamic zones
• Custom controllers, routes, and lifecycle hooks
• Plugin customization and extension
• Roles, permissions, and RBAC

- Experience integrating Strapi with PostgreSQL

- Strong experience in building REST APIs and CMS-driven backend systems

Cloud & Architecture :

- Working knowledge of AWS (S3, CloudFront, Lambda triggers)

- Understanding of microservices-based backend architecture

- Experience delivering admin portals and CMS-based configuration modules

Security & Enterprise Systems :

- Familiarity with enterprise security patterns

- Hands-on experience with SSO, token flows, and secure authentication mechanisms

Good to Have :

- Experience working in large-scale, enterprise applications

- Exposure to performance tuning and CMS optimization

- Prior experience owning CMS platforms end-to-end
