Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js, Express, and related frameworks.

- Build and maintain scalable, serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and other AWS services.

- Implement JWT token-based authentication and enforce secure access control mechanisms across APIs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Frontend Engineering to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Identify, assess, and implement application security best practices; patch and resolve vulnerabilities as required.

- Enhance and maintain application logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure performance and reliability.

- Follow best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure maintainability and scalability of applications.

- Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge-sharing, and support continuous improvement processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with Node.js.

- Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration using Express.js.

- Strong understanding of JWT authentication, session management, and access control implementations.

- Experience with AWS services, especially Lambda Functions and API Gateway.

- Familiarity with secure coding practices and identifying potential security vulnerabilities.

- Experience with application logging tools and observability systems.

- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.

- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and perform efficient debugging and troubleshooting.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
