ROLE OVERVIEW :

NMG Technologies is seeking a versatile and experienced Full-Stack CMS Developer with strong expertise in both WordPress and Shopify.

This hybrid role is ideal for a candidate who can independently develop, maintain, and optimize custom-coded, SEO-friendly solutions across both platforms.

You will contribute to theme and app development, advanced customization, and technical SEO implementations with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and code quality.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, and maintain custom, responsive websites using WordPress and Shopify.

- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).

- Customize and extend Shopify themes using Liquid; integrate third-party and custom Shopify Apps.

- Build private/public Shopify apps using Node.js or PHP based on project needs is a plus and considered a bonus skill.

- Implement technical SEO best practices: Core Web Vitals, structured data, semantic HTML, and performance optimizations.

- Create and manage custom schema markups (JSON-LD, Microdata) for enhanced search visibility.

- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code for both platforms.

- Troubleshoot issues and perform bug fixes across WordPress and Shopify environments.

- Optimize site speed and manage server-level improvements as needed.

- Maintain version control using Git/Bitbucket and collaborate via similar tools.

- Manage assigned projects independently from development through deployment.

- Exposure to multi-site, multilingual, and multi-currency setups in WordPress is a plus and considered a bonus skill.

Required Candidate Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom post types in WordPress.

- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid and theme architecture.

- Experience with Shopify API (REST or GraphQL) and WordPress REST API.

- Strong understanding of SEO-friendly web development, structured data, and schema implementation.

- Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.

- Experience building Shopify apps using Node.js or PHP is a plus and considered a bonus skill.

- Understanding of WordPress hooks, filters, and theme/plugin structure.

- Familiarity with AMP and performance optimization techniques.

- Knowledge of WordPress and Shopify security best practices.

- Basic server management (Apache, cPanel).

- Version control using Git, Bitbucket.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

- BCA, MCA, B Tech, or an equivalent technical degree.

Required Candidate Skills :

- Experience writing technical documentation.

- Familiarity with MySQL.

- Exposure to AWS, CDNs, and deployment workflows.

- Experience using Jira, Zoho, Trello, or similar project management tools.
