Role Overview :

As a Network/Systems Engineer at Sysmind Tech, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our clients' network infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security engineers, and project managers, to ensure the seamless operation and security of network systems. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing network performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing proactive monitoring solutions to prevent disruptions and ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement secure and scalable network solutions, including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and VPN technologies, to meet client requirements.

- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks), and load balancers to ensure optimal performance and security.

- Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and standards to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.

- Monitor network performance and availability using various monitoring and observability tools to identify and resolve issues proactively.

- Automate network tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.

- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and VPN technologies.

- Proven expertise in configuring and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls from leading vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks.

- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, with the ability to implement and enforce security policies and procedures.

- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools to proactively identify and resolve network issues.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automating network tasks and processes.

- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and networking concepts.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
