Network Operation Center Associate - SolarWinds/Monitoring Tools

Job Title : NOC Associate SolarWinds Monitoring Specialist

Experience : 7 to 9 Years

Location : Bangalore

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitoring & Incident Response

- Monitor critical infrastructure using SolarWinds Orion Suite (NPM, NTA, SAM, NCM, etc.).

- Respond to alerts, alarms, and performance thresholds generated by SolarWinds.

- Investigate and analyze SNMP traps, event logs, and performance metrics.

- Perform initial triage, document incident details, and escalate to L2/L3 teams as needed.

- Maintain dashboards for real-time infrastructure health and status.

- Ensure prompt and professional handling of incidents per SLA guidelines.

- Data Center & Infrastructure Support

- Track performance and availability of servers, network links, and storage systems.

- Support on-site data center activities such as rack audits, cable tracing, and physical checks.

- Monitor power and cooling systems (UPS, HVAC) and escalate anomalies to facilities.

- Follow SOPs for scheduled checks, preventive maintenance, and failover testing.

- Reporting & Documentation

- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly availability, uptime, and incident reports.

- Maintain detailed shift logs, incident records, asset data, and handover notes.

- Update and maintain documentation related to alert thresholds and escalation paths.

- Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

- 610 years of experience in NOC or Data Center operations.

- Strong hands-on experience with SolarWinds monitoring tools (NPM, SAM, NetFlow, etc.).

- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, SNMP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing/switching basics.

- Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms.

- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) or equivalent.

- Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy.

- Knowledge of the ITIL framework and incident management lifecycle.

- Prior experience in data center operations and infrastructure audits.

- Exposure to automation tools like Zabbix, PRTG, Ansible, or PowerShell scripting.
