Role Overview :

We are looking for a Networks Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and administering our company's computer network and servers. Your primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You will also be working closely with the users of our network in order to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. You will also need to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage network infrastructure of office, production, data centers, and end-user environments

- Maintain network infrastructure such as firewalls, VPN gateways, VLAN, etc.

- Monitor server health, network status, and application performance, troubleshoot and analyze network-related performance issues

- Finding low latency solutions for existing networks and also coordinating with third parties to maintain network lines and data center infrastructure

- Work with developers to assist and troubleshoot Linux-based servers, and applications and maintain existing systems including supporting hardware changes, software installations, and upgrades

- Test and evaluate customized server hardware

- Manage and maintain the storage and backup infrastructure

Required Skills :

- Experience in network administration and knowledge of network design, network operation, or network automation.

- Experience in supporting and troubleshooting large networks and also with multicast configuration.

- Knowledge of Unix/Linux, expertise in scripting languages like Python/ Bash/ Perl to maintain infrastructure, and hands-on experience in monitoring and network support tools.

- Knowledgeable of protocols including OSI layers, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, MSDP, and PIM.

- Knowledge of Firewall Technology, VPN configuration (IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, Site-To Site VPN), and troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of WAN, LAN, and data center network architectures.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with at least 3 years of experience

- Prior experience in the High-Frequency Trading industry is a highly added advantage

- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

- Self-motivated with an ability to work on assignments with minimal supervision

- CCNP or CCNA certified and Red Hat Certified System Administrator (preferred)
