Job Description :
- Primarily Responsible for the NW Operations & Support within defined SLAs.
- Configuration & Administration of NW infrastructure and technical support & troubleshooting, independently as Subject Matter Expert
- L3 level Network Administration in any 2 of the following areas -Routing, Switching, NW Security ( Firewalls).
- Atleast an L2 level Network Administration in Load Balancing, WAN Accelerators areas
- Participate & Contribute to the designing of technical solutions when needed along with Architects.
Responsibilities :
- Problem determination and resolution within SLA's
- High quality of all deliverables ( Clean and detailed design documents, RCAs, trackers etc)
- Troubleshooting tasks with proper perspective
- Keep the Shift Lead /Network lead informed of task accomplishment, issues and status
- Acquire new skills & keep updated
- Self-driven and taking up ownership of tasks
- Team work and knowledge sharing
- Resolve Day to day Operational issues, Incidents and Service requests and Project tasks
- Respond and resolve escalated incidents, problems or outages and accurately report and document solutions
- Lead and own, complex major technical issues' resolution, in collaboration with various groups 24-7 on demand.
- Problem determination and resolution within SLA's for Major Incidents
- Able to troubleshoot complex Network issues independently
- Independently Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot various networking devices ( Routers, Switches, Firewalls, UTMs)
- Troubleshoot network performance issues using various performance and monitoring tools
- Create day to day configurations from scratch
- Review and Publish various Availability and Capacity analysis reports for the NW infrastructure
- Use the available monitoring tools during the maintenance activities (scheduled or unscheduled) to suppress the alerts, collect information for troubleshooting
- Create, review, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist and contribute in proper designing, planning and documentation.
- Firmware or OS upgrade and patching of related networking devices
- Responsible for providing senior level of support in networking area.
- Identify and implement Service Improvement Plans
- Prepare root cause analysis report
- Train and mentor the peers and juniors in the team.
- Validate the quality of work performed by peers and juniors in the team
- Review the Shift handovers between L2 Engineers
- Being part of the technical team during CAB reviews, Projects and Incidents
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all networking devices and network services
