Responsibilities :
System Administration & Configuration :
- Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and security settings within OpenAir.
- Configure and customize OpenAir fields, forms, reports, workflows, and modules to align with business requirements (e.g., project setup, billing rules, revenue recognition).
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy across the platform, including data import, migration, and auditing
- Stay updated on OpenAir releases, new features, and industry best practices, ensuring optimal utilization.
- Support and manage NetSuite/OpenAir integrations with other systems (e.g., NetSuite ERP, Salesforce, Avalara, ADP, Adaptive Planning).
User Support & Training :
- Provide ongoing technical support to users, addressing issues, questions, and troubleshooting problems related to OpenAir functionality.
- Develop and deliver user guides, documentation, and training sessions for system processes and best practices to drive user adoption.
Reporting & Analytics :
- Create and maintain custom reports, saved searches, and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to projects, resources, time, and financials.
- Analyse data and processes to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement, such as optimizing pricing, billing rates, staffing, and project profitability.
Collaboration & Process Improvement :
- Work closely with project managers, finance teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure OpenAir aligns with operational goals, improves processes, decreases errors, and increases efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Participate in release testing, change management processes, and implementation rollouts.
- Ensure system integrity and compliance with financial controls (e.g., SOX 404b).
Project Management (for consultant/implementation roles) :
- Lead or participate in full-cycle NetSuite OpenAir implementations, including gathering requirements, designing solutions, configuring the system, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and managing go-live activities.
- Provide guidance on best practices for project management, resource management, and financial operations within OpenAir.
Key Skills and Qualifications :
Technical Proficiency :
- Proven experience with NetSuite OpenAir (or similar Professional Services Automation - PSA systems like Workday PSA, Certinia, Planview ChangePoint).
- Strong understanding of OpenAir PSA modules (Project Management, Resource Management, Time & Expense Management, Project Accounting, Reporting & Analytics).
- Experience with NetSuite ERP is often required, particularly for roles involving integration.
- Familiarity with NetSuite's customization tools (SuiteAnalytics, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, SuiteScript - 1.0/2.0), API integrations (SuiteTalk, REST APIs).
- Experience with SQL or similar querying languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft) is a plus.
Functional Knowledge :
- Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting workflows, and business process automation.
- Experience in project management principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with revenue recognition concepts.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills :
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify issues, analyse data, and propose solutions.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a calm head in high-pressure situations
