About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced NetApp Storage Engineer to manage, design, and support enterprise storage environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NetApp ONTAP, SAN/NAS infrastructure, and data protection solutions, along with hands-on experience in deployment, migration, and troubleshooting.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise storage platforms, primarily NetApp FAS/AFF series (AFF8080, FAS8080, FAS8040, FAS3K, FAS5K)

- Perform new installations of NetApp systems on ONTAP (Clustered Data ONTAP)

- Execute node additions in existing clusters within switch-based environments

- Manage inter-cluster switching and storage networking components

- Handle capacity upgrades including disk enclosure installations

- Work with tools like NetApp OnCommand Insight and Virtual Storage Console (VSC)

- Lead migrations from 7-Mode to Clustered ONTAP environments

- Configure SVMs, logical interfaces, and storage protocols

- Manage and support storage protocols : NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel (FC)

- Implement and manage SnapMirror and SnapVault for data replication and backup

- Plan and execute DR drills, BCP strategies, and environment testing

- Perform ONTAP upgrades (8.x to 9.x)

- Troubleshoot complex issues across Unix and Windows-based infrastructure

- Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for storage environments

- Manage and operate storage switches (Cisco, Brocade, McData)

- Design and implement Fibre Channel SAN fabrics, especially using Brocade DCX switches

- Work with volume management tools such as Veritas Volume Manager, DMP, VxFS, and multipathing solutions

- Participate in production support and change management processes

Required Skills & Expertise :

- Strong hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP (Clustered Data ONTAP)

- Expertise in SAN/NAS storage architecture and Fibre Channel protocols

- Experience with SnapMirror, SnapVault, DR, and BCP implementation

- Proficiency in storage networking (Brocade/Cisco switches)

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in enterprise environments

- Experience with Unix and Windows infrastructure

- Knowledge of capacity planning and performance tuning

- Familiarity with change management and production support environments

Good to Have :

- Experience with shell scripting

- Advanced knowledge of business continuity and resiliency planning

- Exposure to multi-vendor storage environments
