Job Description : Senior AWS Platform Engineer

Role Overview :

We are looking for a hands-on Senior AWS Platform Engineer to manage and enhance a mission-critical AWS platform for one of our Australian clients. The role focuses on AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, CI/CD automation, security, observability and production reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage AWS environments across Development, SIT, UAT and Production.

- Administer EKS, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, Lambda, SQS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch and Secrets Manager.

- Support Kubernetes administration, troubleshooting, upgrades and capacity planning.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and reusable IaC modules.

- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Codefresh, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or equivalent tools.

- Support deployments, rollbacks, production releases and post-release validation.

- Monitor platform health using Dynatrace, CloudWatch and Splunk.

- Handle production incidents, root-cause analysis, backups, recovery and disaster-recovery activities.

- Implement AWS security controls, governance standards and cost-optimisation initiatives.

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of hands-on AWS platform-engineering experience.

- Strong expertise in Amazon EKS and Kubernetes administration.

- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Linux and shell scripting.

- Strong knowledge of RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, IAM, VPC, Lambda, SQS and Secrets Manager.

- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical production platforms.

- Strong incident management, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

- Experience with CloudWatch and exposure to Dynatrace or Splunk.

Preferred Experience :

- Banking, financial services or regulated-industry experience.

- Exposure to data, analytics, climate-risk or regulatory-reporting platforms.

- Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and SRE practices.

- AWS or Kubernetes certification is an advantage.
