Job Description :

nerdAppLabs is partnering with a product-based startup to build an real-time AI teammate & AI coach platform driven by large language models. We're looking for an AI / LLM Engineer to help design and operate core AI systems using LLM agents, RAG, and modern cloud infrastructure.

What Youll Do :

- Design and build backend systems for a real-time AI platform

- Develop scalable APIs using Python and TypeScript

- Implement and optimize RAG pipelines and vector-based retrieval

- Build and manage AI agents, MCPs, and orchestration logic

- Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude)

- Implement real-time features using WebSockets

- Integrate Speech-to-Text pipelines (Whisper or cloud APIs)

- Contribute to system architecture, deployment, and observability (e.g., Langfuse)

What Were Looking For :

Must-Have Skills :

- 2+ years of backend AI-focused software development experience

- Strong experience with NextJS, Python, FastAPI, React, Docker

- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG

- Experience with PostgreSQL and vector databases (PgVector, Prisma/Postgres, or similar)

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud / Vertex AI)

- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude CLI, VS Code Claude extensions, Codex)

Good to Have :

- Agent or multi-agent system experience

- LLM fine-tuning experience

- Meta Ads / Google Ads/ X Ads / LinkedIn Ads, Reddit Ads API integrations
