About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced MuleSoft Integration Engineer to join our distributed engineering team. This is a remote position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

You will play a key role in integrating enterprise systems and cloud platforms using Mule ESB, REST/SOAP APIs, and Confluent Kafka, and deploying integration solutions that align with business and technical requirements. Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Mule ESB, API Gateway, and connectors.

- Build scalable and reusable APIs and services to connect cloud and on-premise applications.

- Implement real-time and batch integration flows using Confluent Kafka, REST APIs, SOAP services, and other protocols.

- Deploy and manage integrations in cloud-native environments including AWS.

- Optimize performance and monitor production integrations, ensuring minimal downtime and quick issue resolution.

- Use CI/CD tools (e.g., Tekton, Kubernetes, Jenkins) for automating build, test, and deployment processes.

- Write and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and mapping documents.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Backend, Business Analysts) to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions.

- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

- Maintain strong awareness of integration trends and best practices, proactively identifying areas for improvement.

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

- 7+ years of overall experience in software development, with a focus on enterprise integration projects.

5+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft, particularly Mule 4, including :

- Building APIs and integrations using Mule ESB

- Designing and developing applications on Anypoint Platform

- Implementing RAML-based APIs and flows

- Strong proficiency in Confluent Kafka for message streaming and data pipeline integration.

- Deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based services, and experience with API security, throttling, versioning, and governance.

- Experience deploying solutions in AWS, including setting up Confluent Kafka on cloud environments.

- Solid knowledge of integration patterns, such as pub-sub, request-response, scatter-gather, and event-driven architecture.

- Proficient with CI/CD tools and pipelines, particularly tools like Tekton, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and Maven.

- Strong skills in debugging, logging, error handling, and performance tuning in large-scale integration applications.

- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments, using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
