Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in ETL development, cloud concepts, database performance tuning, and production support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and Agile teams to deliver high-quality data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Development & Maintenance :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

- Write efficient, scalable, and reusable database code to support business applications.

- Develop and optimize SQL queries for large-scale enterprise databases.

- Ensure database integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.

ETL Development :

- Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple data sources.

- Develop data integration workflows to support reporting, analytics, and operational requirements.

- Monitor ETL jobs and resolve data quality or performance issues.

- Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data pipelines and processing efficiency.

Cloud & Data Platform Support :

- Work with cloud-based data platforms and services.

- Support migration and modernization initiatives involving cloud technologies.

- Implement best practices for cloud-based data processing, storage, and security.

- Assist in integrating cloud solutions with existing enterprise systems.

Production Support & Incident Management :

- Provide L2/L3 production support for database applications and ETL processes.

- Investigate code failures, data issues, and performance bottlenecks.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

- Ensure timely resolution of production incidents while meeting SLA requirements.

- Participate in on-call support and release activities as required.

Performance Tuning & Optimization :

- Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL workflows.

- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement tuning strategies.

- Improve database efficiency through indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.

- Monitor database performance and proactively recommend improvements.

Stakeholder Management :

- Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and provide regular project updates.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Data Engineers, QA teams, and Project Managers.

- Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Agile Delivery :

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

- Contribute to sprint deliverables and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

- Maintain documentation and adhere to Agile development best practices.

Python Development :

- Develop Python scripts for data processing, automation, and system integration tasks.

- Build utilities to enhance ETL workflows and database operations.

- Support data validation, monitoring, and reporting activities using Python.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development.

- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL optimization, and database design.

- Experience with ETL development and data integration processes.

- Good understanding of cloud concepts and cloud-based data platforms.

- Hands-on experience in production support, troubleshooting, and incident management.

- Strong knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization techniques.

- Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatica, Talend, or similar ETL tools.

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.

- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools such as Git.

- Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or enterprise data environments.
