Job Title : Senior Staff Engineer.

Location : Bengaluru, India.

Position Summary :

Movius is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to join our technology team in Bengaluru.

This role will have responsibility for all things related to our AI-Powered Mobile Cloud Platform.

This position works closely with other Core R&D engineers, architects, and the systems engineering teams to constantly innovate and improve the core Movius platform.

As a senior technical leader, you will be instrumental in mentoring other engineers and guiding architectural decisions.

You will be a key driver for a culture of quality, actively work to reduce technical debt, and set the standard for engineering excellence and reliability across the platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement scalable, high-availability backend solutions that meet the organization's needs.

- Design, build, and maintain critical backend services using Golang, Python, or Node.js.

- Deliver clean, performant, secure, reliable, and efficient code aligned with a microservices architecture.

- Provide technical leadership to the team: mentor other engineers, troubleshoot the most critical issues, and champion engineering best practices.

- Drive a quality-first mindset through rigorous code reviews, comprehensive automated testing strategies, and secure coding standards.

- Actively identify, prioritize, and lead efforts to reduce technical debt to improve system health and maintainability.

- Own end-to-end development, from system design and architecture through deployment, using modern CI/CD pipelines.

- Communicate technical strategy, architectural decisions, and project status clearly with distributed teams and senior leadership.

- Collaborate with other departments (Product, Systems Engineering) and stakeholders to ensure that backend solutions align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Qualifications & Skills :

- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development and system design.

- Extensive experience in backend development with demonstrated mastery of one or more of the following: Golang, Python, or Node.js.

- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining complex, large-scale distributed systems.

- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, cloud-native technologies, and distributed systems patterns.

- Demonstrated technical leadership with experience mentoring junior and senior engineers and leading complex, cross-team technical projects.
