Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented software engineers in building and delivering high-performance, scalable platform APIs that power both internal and external clients.

This role is pivotal in shaping the foundation of our platform, ensuring security, reliability, and performance are embedded in every line of code.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & People Management :

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

- Drive career development and performance management for team members.

Technical Ownership :

- Own the design, development, and delivery of platform APIs that meet stringent performance and scalability requirements.

- Ensure security-first principles are integrated into all aspects of software development.

- Drive the design and implementation of time-tested, industry-proven architecture and design patterns to ensure maintainability and scalability.

- Collaborate with architecture and product teams to define technical roadmaps and priorities.

Delivery & Execution :

- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery commitments.

- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Work closely with Product Managers, application developers, SREs, support teams, and external partners to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Qualifications :

Experience :

- 15+ years in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in engineering management roles.

- Proven track record of delivering scalable, secure APIs in high-traffic environments.

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in C/C++, Golang, Ruby, Node.js.

- Hands-on experience with Kafka (event streaming) and Redis (in-memory data store).

- Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, and microservices architecture.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Expertise in applying industry-standard architecture and design patterns.

- Strong knowledge of security best practices for API development and platform services.

Leadership Skills :

- Exceptional ability to lead and inspire engineering teams.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with observability, monitoring, and performance tuning.

- Background in telecom or enterprise SaaS platforms is a plus.
