Movate - BI Administrator - Power BI & Tableau

Role/Responsibilities :

- Manage and administer BI platforms including Power BI and Tableau (Cloud/Server)

- Handle workspace/site administration, user access, permissions, and governance

- Implement and manage RLS (Row-Level Security) / OLS (Object-Level Security)

- Manage dataset refresh schedules, certifications, and data connectivity using Gateways/Bridge

- Perform Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud migrations, including handling on-prem data using Tableau

Bridge

- Monitor platform performance, capacity utilization, usage, and cost optimization

- Troubleshoot incidents and ensure platform stability and availability

- Develop and publish health dashboards, adoption dashboards, and admin dashboards

- Work on Power BI artifacts such as DAX, Power Query (M), dataflows, and semantic models

- Ensure security, governance, auditing, and compliance across BI environments

- Collaborate with business and technical teams for dashboard and data source development

- Manage and integrate identity solutions such as SSO with Entra ID (Azure AD)

- Automate admin tasks using scripting tools and APIs

Primary Skills :

- Strong experience in Power BI Administration (DAX, Power Query/M, Dataflows, Semantic Models,

Deployment Pipelines)

- Hands-on experience in Tableau Cloud/Server Administration (Sites, Projects, Permissions, Extracts,

Schedules)

- Experience in BI platform migration (Tableau Server Tableau Cloud)

Secondary Skills :

- Experience in Monitoring capacity, usage, and cost management

- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric (Workspaces, Capacities, OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse/Warehouse)

- Strong understanding of Security & Governance (RLS/OLS, sensitivity labels, auditing)

- Experience with Data connectivity (Gateways, Tableau Bridge)

Good to Have :

- Scripting/Automation using PowerShell / Python

- Experience with Power BI REST APIs / Tableau REST APIs

- Hands-on dashboard and data source development experience

Education :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / IT or related field
